Products Description of Ketoconazole CAS#65277-42-1

Ketoconazole is an imidazole broad-spectrum antifungal drug. Its commercial names are Jindaconin, Mikangling and Kening. It inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol on the fungal cell membrane by highly selectively interfering with the activity of fungal cytochrome P-450. It is effective for both superficial and deep fungal infections. It can not only inhibit fungal growth, but also inhibit the transformation of spores into mycelium to prevent further infection. Low concentrations inhibit bacteria and high concentrations kill bacteria. It has antibacterial effects on Candida, chromophores, Coccidioides, Histoplasma, Sporothrix and Trichophyton. It is clinically suitable for the treatment of tinea manuum, tinea pedis, skin tinea, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, thrush, tinea versicolor and skin candidiasis.

Imidazole antifungal drugs. It is an antifungal drug used to treat athlete's foot and excessive dandruff. It is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug and a CYP3A4 inhibitor. Ketoconazole is an extensive spectrum antifungal agent used to treat candidiasis, chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis, oral thrush, candiduria, blastomycosis, coccidioidomycosis, histoplasmosis, chemical book chromomycosis, and paracoccidioidomycosis. It is used to identify p-glycoprotein/CYP3A-limited bioavailability in the monkey model, to study interleukin 1-mediated antitumor effects, and drug interactions in vivo.
