Lutein industrial product purity ≥ 99%, orange-yellow crystalline powder, odorless. Melting point 190-194℃ (decomp), boiling point decomposes at high temperature. Vapor pressure negligible (25℃), relative density 1.28 (20℃). Solubility in water: insoluble, soluble in chloroform, dichloromethane and vegetable oils, slightly soluble in ethanol. Stable under cool and dark conditions, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and light.
