Polyvinylpyrrolidone industrial product purity ≥ 99%, white to off-white crystalline powder, odorless. Melting point decomposes above 150℃, boiling point no definite value. Vapor pressure negligible (25℃), relative density 1.14 (20℃). Solubility in water: highly soluble, soluble in ethanol and methanol, insoluble in ether and benzene. Stable, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and certain metal salts.

It is also used to clarify the wine and as a stabilizer to prevent discoloration (reference amount 24~72g/100L).
