Products Description of Sulfadiazine CAS#68-35-9
Sulfadiazine is a sulfonamide anti-infective drug commonly used in clinical practice in my country. It is also called sulfadiazine and diazine. The molecular structure of sulfadiazine is similar to para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). It can compete with PABA on dihydrofolate synthase in bacteria, thereby preventing PABA from being used as a raw material to synthesize folic acid required by bacteria, reducing the amount of metabolically active tetrahydrofolate, which is an essential substance for bacteria to synthesize purine, thymidine and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), thus inhibiting the growth and reproduction of bacteria. Sulfadiazine has an inhibitory effect on sensitive bacteria such as hemolytic streptococci, staphylococci, meningococci, pneumococci, gonococci, Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, and microorganisms such as Chlamydia trachomatis, actinomycetes, Plasmodium, Nocardia asteroides, and Toxoplasma.

Product Application of Sulfadiazine CAS#68-35-9
It is an excellent variety of sulfonamide drugs, with strong antibacterial effect, good efficacy, fast absorption, slow excretion, and high effective concentration in the blood. It is clinically used to treat upper respiratory tract infections. Epidemic meningitis, otitis media, furunculosis, puerperal fever, urinary tract infection and acute bacillary dysentery, etc.
Sulfonamide drugs are used to treat infections caused by hemolytic streptococci, pneumococci, meningococci, gonorrhea, and Escherichia coli
Sulfonamide drugs have antibacterial and astringent effects
Sulfonamide antibiotics rely on inhibiting dihydropteroate synthase to prevent the synthesis of dihydropteroate.
Mode of action: Inhibit prokaryotic folic acid synthesis.
