Products Description of Streptomycin sulfate CAS#3810-74-0
Streptomycin sulfate is the sulfate form of streptomycin, an antibiotic produced by the soil actinomycete Streptomyces griseus. Streptomycin is the first chemotherapy drug to be developed that has a definite effect on tuberculosis. This product must be injected intramuscularly, so its long-term use is limited. Streptomycin is the most effective and least toxic antibiotic obtained from Streptomyces for extra-gastrointestinal use. This product is a bactericide, which may be effective by its direct effect on bacterial ribosomes and inhibiting protein synthesis. It mainly acts on extracellular (including cavitary) tuberculosis bacteria.

Product Application of Streptomycin sulfate CAS#3810-74-0
Streptomycin sulfate has antibacterial effects on most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, especially on a variety of Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Brucella, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Shigella dysenteriae, Clostridium difficile, and Burkholderia thuringiensis. This product is the first choice for anti-tuberculosis bacteria. It has a strong effect on tuberculosis bacteria. It has a strong antibacterial effect at low concentrations and a bactericidal effect at high concentrations. Because only 10% can penetrate into body cells, it is ineffective against intracellular tuberculosis bacteria and can only kill extracellular tuberculosis bacteria. It has a stronger bactericidal effect on bacteria in the reproductive period than on bacteria in the resting period. Unlike penicillin, its bactericidal rate is proportional to the drug concentration. Its antibacterial effect is strongest at a pH value of 7.8, and its effect is greatly weakened when the pH value drops below 6.
