Oxalic acid is a robust dicarboxylic acid taking place in many flowers and vegetables, typically as its calcium or potassium salts. Oxalic acid is the solely viable compound in which two carboxyl agencies are joined directly; for this purpose oxalic acid is one of the strongest natural acids. Unlike different carboxylic acids (except formic acid), it is with ease oxidized; this makes it beneficial as a lowering agent for photography, bleaching, and ink removal.
