Products Description of Anthracene CAS #7778-54-3

Anthracene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compound containing three rings, with the molecular formula C14H10. It exists naturally in coal tar. The centers of the three rings of anthracene are in a straight line, and it is an isomer of phenanthrene. Anthracene is a white flaky crystal or a light yellow needle-shaped crystal with a light blue fluorescence; the melting point is 216℃, the boiling point is 340℃, and the relative density is 1.283 (25/4℃); it is easy to sublime; it is insoluble in water, difficult to dissolve in ethanol and ether, and easily soluble in hot benzene.
