This product is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. By inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, DNA synthesis and replication are blocked, leading to bacterial death. It has strong antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella and other Enterobacteriaceae; Chemicalbook has better antibacterial effects on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae than norfloxacin and pefloxacin. It is used for otitis media, otitis externa and myringitis caused by sensitive bacteria. Occasionally there is middle ear pain and itching.
