Products Description of Sodium sulfide CAS#1313-82-2
Sodium sulfide is the chemical compound with the components Na₂S, or greater usually its hydrate Na₂S·9H₂O. Both are colorless water-soluble salts that supply strongly alkaline solutions. When uncovered to moist air, Na₂S and its hydrates emit hydrogen sulfide, which smells like rotten eggs. Sodium sulfide, anhydrous is a yellow to brick purple crystalline mass or fused solid.

Product Application of Sodium sulfide CAS#1313-82-2
These yellow flakes are shaped by means of the fusion of sodium carbonate and sulfur. Sodium sulfide is noticeably soluble in water however no longer very soluble in alcohol. Due to its sulfurous smell, it is affectionately referred to as "stinky" by means of these who use it to shade images or beautify negatives.
It is used for sulfur-containing dyes and serves as a lowering agent, mordant, floatant, leather-based dehairing agent, papermaking additive, textile, pigment, rubber, and so forth
