Zinc gluconate is a zinc supplement, mainly used for growth retardation, malnutrition, anorexia, recurrent oral ulcers, skin acne and other symptoms caused by zinc deficiency in infants and pregnant women.It appears as white particles or crystalline powder with its molecule either containing or not containing three molecules of crystal water, being odorless and tasteless. It is easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Female mice by oral have a LD50 of 1.93g/k; male mice through oral have a LD50 of 2.99g/kg.
