Sodium alginate industrial product purity ≥ 98%, white to pale yellow fibrous or granular powder, odorless. Melting point: decomposes above 200℃, no definite boiling point. Vapor pressure <0.001mmHg (25℃), bulk density 0.5-0.7 g/cm³ (20℃). Solubility in water: soluble in water to form viscous colloidal solution, insoluble in ethanol, ether and most organic solvents. Stable under neutral and alkaline conditions, incompatible with strong acids, heavy metal ions and oxidizing agents.
