Rosin industrial product purity ≥ 99%, pale yellow to brown transparent solid, with a characteristic resinous odor. Melting point 50-70℃, boiling point 300℃ (decomp). Vapor pressure negligible (25℃), relative density 1.07 (20℃). Solubility in water: insoluble, soluble in ethanol, ether and turpentine. Stable, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids.
