Products Description of Metronidazole CAS#443-48-1
Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole antibiotic, also known as metronidazole, metronidazole, metronidazole, and metronidazole. It has a killing effect on anaerobic microorganisms. The metabolites generated when it is reduced in the human body also have anti-anaerobic effects, inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial deoxyribonucleic acid, thereby interfering with the growth and reproduction of bacteria, and eventually causing bacterial death. Anti-anaerobic bacteria generally include: Bacteroides fragilis, Fusobacterium (named because the two ends of the bacterial body are sharp and fusiform), Clostridium tetani, Peptococcus, Peptostreptococcus, and Giardia. It was originally used to treat vaginal trichomoniasis, and the clinical effect was very significant. Later, people found that metronidazole can also kill anaerobic bacteria that cause oral infections. In 1978, it was identified by the World Health Organization as a specific drug for anti-anaerobic infections and is widely used in the prevention and treatment of oral anaerobic infections. In hospitals, this product is also often used to prevent and treat respiratory tract, digestive tract, abdominal and pelvic infections, skin, soft tissue and bone and joint infections, pericarditis, sepsis and brain treatment caused by anaerobic bacteria.
