Cobalt(II) sulfate industrial product purity ≥ 99%, red crystalline powder, with slight characteristic odor. Melting point 96.8℃, boiling point decomposes at 420℃. Vapor pressure negligible (25℃), relative density 1.948 (20℃). Solubility in water: soluble, soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in acetone. Stable, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and alkali metals.
